Enter Shikari have this week returned from North America, where they not only undertook a largely sold out, six week long, headline tour, but also filmed a video for forthcoming single “Warm Smiles Do Not Make You Welcome Here”, which is currently in the editing process under the watchful eye of director Raul Gonzo (who was also responsible for January’s “Arguing With Thermometers” video). “Warm Smiles…” will be released in July as a special remix package… but well have more news on that as we approach the time.

The band will rest for a handful of days before being bundled into a tour bus to spend the summer beating the living daylights out of summer festivals across Europe and the UK, including a high profile main stage slot at this year’s Reading / Leeds festivals.

Univision Radio, the leading radio network serving Hispanic America, today announced that global superstar DJ and producer Tiësto has been added to the lineup of the H2O Music Festival taking place in the Cotton Bowl in Dallas on June 9.
 
Tiësto is a performer who has transcended musical genres. With his globally syndicated Club Life radio show as well as his Club Life iTunes artist podcast – the No. 1 music podcast globally, Tiësto has truly become a universal phenomenon. Voted The Greatest DJ of All Time by Mixmag in 2011, Tiësto has worked with superstars such as Kanye West, Coldplay, Katy Perry and Nelly Furtado.

The lineup to H2O Dallas also includes Juanes, Snoop Dogg, Calle 13, Gym Class Heroes, Prince Royce, Weezer, Paulina Rubio, Damian Marley, Duelo, YelaWolf, Paty Cantú, Ozomatli, Intocable, Ramon Ayala and Bobby Pulido, plus additional acts that will be announced in the coming weeks.

Univision Radio DJs will also be on hand throughout the night mixing music as a transition between acts to keep the momentum going throughout the night. In addition to Univision’s support of the festival series on a national level, Univision television and radio stations in Austin, Dallas, Houston and San Antonio are supporting the H2O Music Festival.
A showcase of local artists and unique experiences will kick off the excitement, starting in early afternoon, in the plaza of the Cotton Bowl.
 
The second H2O Music Festival will take place in Los Angeles on August 25 at the Los Angeles State Historic Park, featuring artists like Alejandro Sanz, Paulina Rubio, Snoop Dogg, Chino y Nacho, Alex Cuba, Romeo Testa, plus additional acts to be announced in the coming weeks.

Tiny Victories is thrilled to release the video for “Mr. Bones,” off their debut EP Those Of Us Still Alive, out now via BirdDog Records. Consequence of Sound premiered the clip, noting that the song “builds up layers with surprising grace – island percussion, to chiptune shimmers, to clap-beckoning bass, to uplifting synths coming in one at a time to construct a beatific dancer.”

The video was directed by Brian Bowman, creative director at the New York production and post-production studio Nice Shoes, which has helped make music videos for Lady Gaga, Beyoncé and Kanye West.  Bowman recently created films for Tycho and Blockhead, and his short films have been official selections at SXSW.

Earlier this year, WNYC’s John Schaefer picked Tiny Victories as the band to watch in 2012 in an NPR feature, calling the EP “full of smart, catchy electro-pop hooks with subversive production details to keep listeners guessing.” Recently, NPR’s All Songs Considered featured the band, premiering “Mr. Bones.”

Comprised of Cason Kelly and Greg Walters, the duo formed Tiny Victories in 2010. Prior to their transplant to Brooklyn, Cason spent his early 20s doing social work with inner city kids, while Greg spent six years as a foreign correspondent, covering a war (Russia-Georgia) and two revolutions (Ukraine, Kyrgyzstan). Tiny Victories are currently at work on their debut full-length album.

Surrender Your Booty Tour June 11-July 3; Secrets Don’t Make Friends LP Out Now on Tooth & Nail Records

Detroit, MI’s Rocky Loves Emily are hitting the road with Sparks the Rescue and Aristo, on the Surrender Your Booty Tour, presented by The JW Agency. The pop-rock outfit will be out in support of their new Tooth and Nail Records LP, Secrets Don’t Make Friends, which Underthegunreview.net calls, “The most promising pop release of 2012.”

Produced by Matt Grabe (The Maine, The Summer Set) the new album displays much growth since RLE’s 2010 American Dreamdebut EP. As guitarist Andrew Stevens explains, “The band grew into who we are as people between the EP and this album. We figured out who we are and put it into music.”

As singer Brandon James Ellis says “We just wanted more real songs. Stuff from the heart about the things we were going through as people. It’s an album we can all be proud of.”

The boys in Rocky Loves Emily are eager to get back on the road to play the new songs for their fans on the Surrender Your Booty Tour, which is also the first headlining tour that Sparks The Rescue has been out on in over 2 years. Sparks the Rescue is excited to be playing songs off their new self-titled EP which is scheduled for release in early summer.

Latest album, True Defiance, debuts at #36 on Billboard 200

Shows staying power by remaning in the Top 100 in its second week on the charts

April 26, 2012 -  Metal juggernauts DEMON HUNTER are excited to announce their summer tour plans just a few short weeks after the impressive debut of their mammoth new album, True Defiance.

The band, set to storm Europe next week, will bring their power stateside when they headline select dates of the upcoming Scream The Prayer tour this June with support by EMERY, SLEEPING GIANT,  MYCHILDREN MYBRIDE, CLOSE YOUR EYES, HUNDREDTH, THE GREAT COMMISSION, GIDEON, A BULLET FOR A PRETTY BOY and YOUR MEMORIAL.

DEMON HUNTER will then follow that up with a victory lap – appropriately titled The True Defiance Tour – from July until August with support from BLEEDING THROUGH, CANCER BATS, THE PLOT IN YOU and WILLOWS.

True Defiance, the band’s sixth album, smashed its way into the charts last week when it bowed at an impressive #36 on the Billboard 200. The highly anticipated album also landed at #3 on the Billboard Hard Rock Chart, #14 on the Billboard Rock Chart and #1 on the Billboard Christian Rock Chart.

The chart position is the band’s highest debut on the Top 200, edging out the previous best set by 2010′s The World Is A Thorn, which bowed at #39.

Now in its second week on the charts, True Defiance, is showing staying power by remaining in the Top 100, clocking in at #96 in its second week.

Produced by Aaron Sprinkle (ANBERLIN, EMERY) and mixed by Jason Suecof (ALL THAT REMAINS, TRIVIUM), True Defiance finds DEMON HUNTER continuing in their hard rock evolution while embracing the components that have always formed the backbone of their music: true metal, dark rock and balladry. The album marks a vital new chapter in the celebrated history of DEMON HUNTER, who are currently marking their 10th year of writing, breaking and erasing the rules of hard rock.
